How to read more

Maybe you're wondering, "How could I read more books?" If you aren't, that's too bad. Deal with it. Anyways, I have decided to compile a list on ways to read more. Let's get started!

1. Always carry a book with you. This is what I do. Carrying a book with you can actually be quite helpful, because anytime you are in the car(hopefully not driving it while reading the book though, because that would probably not end very well), or waiting for your food at a restaurant, or some other situation like that, you can just whip out your book and read!

2. If you're not enjoying a book, put it down. I know this sounds weird, but if you're just not into that book, stop reading it!(Unless you're reading it for school. Then I can't help you.) Chances are, you'll read the book less, since you don't like it, and unless you're also reading another book, end up wasting a lot of time on a book you don't even like!

3. Get a Goodreads account. If you don't already have one, I recommend you get one. It helps you keep track of the books you've read, and it recommends books to you based on your reading preferences. I have an account, and it has helped me a lot.

4. Give yourself rewards(sort of). Say to yourself "You can't watch the next season of your favorite T.V. show i until you finish this book." I can't think of any other examples, but you get the gist.

5. No reading ahead! I know you want to find out what happens to your favorite character, but by doing this, you are (1)Possibly finding out some major spoilers, and (2) wasting time when you could actually be reading the book where you left off. This makes utterly no sense, but it does help. I promise

That's all for today, and if you actually got through this whole post, congratulations!
