Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children Trailer Talk

Sooooo... THE MISS PEREGRINE"S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN MOVIE TRAILER IS OFFICIALY OUT!!! As you can tell, i'm kinda excited(and also confused, but we'll get to that later). Here's the link if you want to watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV_IhWE4LP0 (you might have to copy and paste. Sorry)

Anyway, there are a LOT of things I need to talk about. Let's get started!

1.the cast

Eva Green is miss Peregrine. I'm sure she'll be great and all, but did anyone else imagine her older than like, 25? Cause I did.

Asa Butterfield is Jacob. I can see this working. He did a great job in Hugo soo...i'm gonna trust this choice.(hopefully i'm right)

That's really all I can think of to say for the cast. moving on...

2.The Emma and Olive power switch

If you haven't read the book and seen the trailer, you have no idea what i'm talking about go read the book/see the trailer and then come back. Apparently Emma switched powers with olive, so now Emma floats and olive has fire powers. I'm kinda mad at this because aside from like, Brownyn and Emma, none of the girl peculiars have very helpful powers. Emma was a strong female lead who could litterally shoot fire out of hre hands. Now, according to the trailer, all she can do is float around if she doesn't wear her giant metal shoes, and blow bubbles out of her mouth while in the water. Verrrry helpful, Emma.

3. That ship scene that lasted, like half the trailer that wasn't even in the book

Okay, so I haven't read the book in a while, but i'm pretty sure that scene where they jumped of the boat and swam around in that shipwreck wasn't in the book. Now, I know that movies are never exact copies of books(though I wish they were), but that scene just didn't really fit with the rest of the trailer. I get that 1. the director is Tim Burton and the whole abandoned shipwreck thingy with the eerie feel to it is kinda his thing, and 2. it also (i'm guessing) was to showcase the fact that Emma has air powers and can breathe underwater(still mad about that), but the whole scene felt very unnessecary. I think that's how you spell it. Unessescary? I don't know.

4. Grandpa Abe

i'm sure he'll be in the movie, but he was absolutely NOWHERE in the trailer(unless i'm missing something.) That seems kind of unfair, considering he was the start of all this. He better be in the movie.

If you actually managed to get to the end of this post, congratulations! Thanks for reading and cross your fingers that this does not become like the Percy Jackson movies. Bye!
